“A risky venture for sure ... but continuing to vote for RINOs and Gopes with the hope they will stand up to the Democrat-Socialist Left sure isn’t working!”
I tend to agree with you. If the Republicans had not gained control of the House in 2010, the American people would have endured 6 years of Democrat rule without Obama being able to blame Republican obstructionism in Congress. The Republicans in Congress have given him everything he wanted anyway so it would have been better to have Democrats in charge so the people would know where the pain is coming from.
At this point in the 2014 campaign the Republicans have no message other than
“we hate the Tea Party too.” It is clear the Democrats will rerun the “war on women” while also attacking the wealthy. If Republicans were serious they would have another “contract for America”. The absence of message suggests they are content with the status quo.
There are only two ways out of the mess. One is revolution and conditions are not yet bad enough for the American people walk away from their televisions and take to the streets. The other is to spend the next 4-6 years building a real third party from the ground up. Building a viable third party will take time and for the first few campaigns all it will do is split the Republican vote ensuring a Democrat win. Ultimately the people will hold them accountable.
BTTT - Well put (and I love North Carolina ... especially the Asheville area!)
