Are you “poor” when you get subsidized cell-communications?
Are you “poor” if you can get subsidized internet that inevitable includes TV signals?
Are you “poor” if you can get unlimited protien/dairy/dry goods to provide sustenance?

Let’s look at the “poor” in Rwanda as comparison.

Our poor in the US would be wealthy by many nations’ standards.

The US defines poverty for an individual making only $11,670 per year.

That same individual is in the top 15% of the world’s income.
