Former President Jimmy Carter says Hillary Clinton “took very little action” as secretary of State to bring about peace.

Carter, 89, made the remark about the former secretary of State and 2016 Democratic frontrunner in a phone interview with Time magazine Wednesday night after he spoke at the Civil Rights Summit in Austin, Texas.

John Kerry has been successful as secretary of State, Carter said, because President Obama has been deeply involved in the foreign policy issues of his second term.

“In this occasion, when Secretary Clinton was Secretary of State, she took very little action to bring about peace. It was only John Kerry’s coming into office that reinitiated all these very important and crucial issues,” he said.

Kerry’s efforts in the Middle East are “notable,” said Carter, who added he has “great admiration” for him.

Carter said he emails Kerry “fairly often” about what his thoughts are on various issues, but declined to elaborate on what the messages have covered.

“He has had a very difficult time operating pretty much on his own,” Carter added.

Since he took over in early 2013 as American’s top diplomat, Kerry has made enormous strides in negotiating with the Israelis and Palestinians, and putting an interim nuclear deal with Iran into motion.

Asked if the United States should be friends and allies with Iran again, Carter said “Yes, I think we ought to.”

“If we can’t have full diplomatic relations, we can certainly work out an agreement whereby we can avoid armed conflict," said the former president.

LOL. Loose cannon Carter finally fires a broadside at the Dems. Although he’s always hated the Clintons and they’ve always hated him. Remember Carter’s “diplomacy” in the 90s that underminded what Clinton was trying to do?

As humorous as this is Carter must seem a loose cannon on the liberal decks during a once in a hundred year storm. One of the best things about Republican ex-presidents is they tend to disappear and hardly ever make a pronouncement from on high. But Democrats continue to issue press releases and opine on every topic you can imagine from the world political scene to how bad toilet paper use is for the environment. There ought to be a rule, no ex-president can be quoted except once a year and on one topic only.

A diss. Hillary didn’t sell out America and our allies fast enough for Saudi-JimmyPeanut. Gee, the Saudi dictatorship sure got its money’s worth when they purchased ( oops, “contributed to”) old Jimmy’s library fund. Aside from the Koran in the display case of honor, and all the copies of the communist manifesto, Saul Alinsky, and Obama’s two ghost- written fictional “autobiographies”, what else will be found in Carter’s library? Gotta hand it to the islamonazis, they sure know how to shop for ( buy) “our” political hacks. Sell out America? Great! That’s only $10,000. Cash.

Any Secretary of State who doesn’t preside over the annihilation of Israel has done very little in the opinion of this human hemorrhoid. This is not to defend the witch, just to note the hemorrhoid’s standard of success.
