UKRAINE DONETSK UPDATE: 1 hour ago

DONETSK UPDATE: Sergey Kosyak writes about tonight's events,

"I guess I will start with the bad. Today, after prayer, I went to see the Regional Federal Building to see if the rain had dispersed the separatists. Unfortunately though there was a smaller number of people, but no less than 700 people.

On the way to the Federal Building stands a sort of Russian border post, and as I understood, passing through this invisible line, you are entering onto enemy territory. Before entering the Federal Building there is a make-shift 'military' camp. There are a few tents, bonfires are lit in barrels, very tall barricades of tires and sandbags.

I took some pictures and went through the checkpoint for the improvised barricades. It's a sad spectacle, the floor area of the building is disassembled and walking everywhere masked men with bats and pipes in their hands. I was trying to be affable, but it is felt that affability stretched as tightly all this 'peaceful' gathering.

There are a lot of women of that special breed 'scandalous babushka' who finally found a vent for all their anger and express it in a stream of language grumbling about the government, the Banderas and fascists. That's how I found myself in the den of this camp.

I did a couple of shots on the camera with the flash on, and then I realized that through the slots a balaklav. I was immediately honed in on by a dozen pairs of eyes. And these 'peaceful' masked men with bats in their hands, decided to find out my identity. It turns out that once behind the barricades an easy exit is difficult.

A man with a pipe in his hand asked me to show him my photos. I thought he would at least smash the camera since there on the memory card were photos of our prayer tent where we stand under the Ukrainian flag with yellow- blue ribbon with the words 'Pray for Ukraine'.

I made a surprised face and grabbed his hand to shake it, praising them for what a great job they've been doing. I must have remembered the story of David, who pretended to go crazy and blew foam from the mouth.

I removed the photo of him from the camera as he watched, then I moved toward the door. But it appeared at the exit they were carefully checking everyone. I clenched my fist around the yellow and blue ribbon inside of my pocket and and hid the camera under my coat as I stuck close to a group of bazaar grannies who were carrying provisions back through the checkpoint.

The did not take me as a prisoner, and I escaped with slight excitement and one spoiled shot. And if we are honest, the people there are ready to fight - to beat and kill. Only God can prevent blood being shed.

I was immediately reminded of our prayer tent and walked though the rain that was very cold, but there were about 40 people praying, even three mothers with children. As always, there were a few worshipers who were not from any church. They did not stay to the end as the rain showed those who were the most resistant.

We were not attacked. It seems all the aggressive pro-Russians are there in front of the Federal Building. Tomorrow we have planned for extended prayer, where we expect a lot of ordinary people not from churches, wanting peace for Ukraine. Although the forecast is rain, I hope it will only scare away opponents.

It is a very fine line to hold a religious meeting format, but it does not suppress the enthusiasm from the non-church crowd, and I do not assume that the prayer would be overgrown in the usual political rally. PRAY FOR US.

If God permits, soon everything that happens in the prayer tent in Donetsk can be watched online. I hope that you will not witness mayhem. Hopefully with enough donations we'll be able to carry out the project. And we have a lot who bought additional equipment for strengthening the tent. We felt that it would be cheaper to buy additional tools to replace something than to buy new every time. Thank you to all who are praying and supporting us."

Obama will never do his job — whether he’s on vacation or not. Putin correctly sees a green light to do whatever he wants. At least for the next three years.

"They beat me. They made me get down on my knees before them. But they can not break me. I will never kneel down before them in my heart. I am a Ukrainian. I am part of the Cossack nation. I will never be a slave. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!" March 1, 2014. Kharkiv Maidan protesters. Beaten and made to kneel down in front of the pro-Russian mob who hoisted the Russian flag over the federal building. This is Putin's future for Ukraine.

The second line on the sign translates the first line.

I don't know what the first word in the third line means (zaberite) but the rest of it refers to "your mercenaries" and "USA and EU occupants" (= occupiers?).

The bottom line says "No to the Kiev junta!"
