I haven’t really watched Letterman since his NBC show back in the old days, so this won’t change anything.

So, just don’t watch him. Until obama pens it into his ACA, we are free to watch or not. The ratings will decide if he stays or leaves.

I watched maybe 10 minutes of Letterman the entire time he was on. I know I will cut back on my viewing time with Colbert as host.

And Letterman is the heartland? He hasn’t been the heartland since 1979.

I thought Letterman was kind of funny back in 1987.

Oh please. The only people that will watch are those that like nighttime TV. It’s an entertainment show. A bad one, but one nonetheless. What politics there will be will preach to the choir.

Most will just ignore the crap.

Limbaugh is King of Hyperbole. I haven’t taken him seriously in many many many years. Just another news entertainment blowhard.

It’s pricks like Colbert who has contributed significantly to the dumbing down of America and helped create the low-information voter. These young people lap up everything he and Jon Stewart says, and then when they’re called on it, they get to hide behind the clown nose.

Letterman, who has held his late-night slot with CBS since 1993, was known for having a subtle liberal slant to his comedy.

Letterman is a 'subtle liberal' like Genghis Khan was a subtle invader.

I can’t see how Colbert is much different than Letterman.

Colbert likely won’t do his new show in character, so it’s a wash.

The last thing I watched on a Letterman show was a canned ham in a 90 ton press.

One problem I just thought of -pols not “must” go on shows like this when running for President. I assume he is an obnoxious leftie, but given I’ve never seen him out of his character he plays, I don’t know just how bad he’ll be.

To fit into the 11:30 time slot Colbert will have to tone down his act a lot.

Like Letterman, he'll be left-leaning, but he most likely won't try to rub Middle America's face in it.
