In the spirit of fast-rising white Republicans who say dumb things about race, Mississippi State Sen. Chris McDaniel can now add his name to the list after Mother Jones uncovered a 2006 tape where the Tea Party darling bragged about not wanting to pay slavery reparations and only knowing how to hit on girls and find the bathroom in Spanish. (The Wall Street Journal reported on tape on Thursday.) McDaniel is challenging fellow Republican Thad Cochran for his U.S. Senate seat.

The Left must have big, big plans that involve keeping Thad in office. Therefore, he must be shown the door. I would vote for McDaniels, because he’s right, Pigford IS reparations, and should not be paid.
Yeah, some off the cuff throw away remarks by McDaniel definitely outweigh 36 years of Cochran’s enabling the federal leviathan and aiding in running up trillions of dollars worth of debt for our grandchildren./s
No doubt Rove, Barbour, and other establishment GOP operatives who play smash mouth politics with conservatives, and then scratch the backs of Dhimms, will dig up more “alarming” statements by Tea Party/conservative candidates and expect that to be considered a worse offense than bankrupting the nation.
It just depends on how many low information voters they can get to choose (i) a Big Government Republican who will continue to vote for more government and less freedom, over (ii) a conservative candidate who has said something the Republican elites tell the LIV should disqualify the conservative candidate.
This has GOPe written all over it. The dims would have held this information till after the primary and used it then.
