The hostages ran out of the apartment unarmed, towards the deputies, and they just opened fire on them, killing the man helping the hostage out, and also wounded a hostage at the same time...

After, they simply went in and arrested the suspect inside...

“They like to shot first and ask questions later,” neighbor Monica Lewis said. “If there was no sign of a weapon or anything there was no reason to shoot them.

(They are trained to look at a suspects hands for weapons....Or use to be)

This is what you’d expect to happen during a full on violent war...Just open fire.

"The shot the hostage?"

They shot both hostages that ran out of the building. One survived.

Sounds like the CA polizei are taking the advice of Keanu Reeves (x2)!

Harry Temple: All right, pop quiz. Airport, gunman with one hostage. He's using her for cover; he's almost to a plane. You're a hundred feet away... Jack?

Jack: Shoot the hostage.
