It's ok, though, because he is supposed to be a commie, and Right Sector is Neo-Nazi.

We are basically being sold the same bill of goods on FR when Odumbo was thinking about bombing Syria and the Assad regime: we have to stand with the Ukrainians, even if for now that means standing with Svoboda or Right sector and/or other undesirable elements in Ukraine - and they are quite undesirable - because it means slapping down Putin.

It was a bad idea then, and it is a bad idea, still, to arm rebel elements in Syria. Obama waited too long, and when RINOS and the Obama adm. talked about arming Syrian rebels, the arms would have - to some degree - ended up in the hands of terrorists and Al Qaeda-affiliates.

That brings us to now:

I know of no news outlets in the U.S. that wants to cozy up to either Svoboda or Right Sector. They keep them both at arms length, get the reporting from them that they desire, then tell them both to beat it.

It, as I am Jim Robinson talked about on a thread here, is TOO LATE to help the Ukrainians. Obama wiated too long, and if McCain cozied up to Svoboda in December, like he did those Syrian rebels he was pictured with in December, then we definitely need to stay out of this mess that RINOs like McCain want us involved in.

And as long as the Ukrainian gov’t won't crack down on Svoboda and Right Sector and other fascists in Ukraine as much as they are everyone else, then they are a sham govt. PERIOD We, once again, have another Syria situation.

It wasn't worth doing ANYTHING for Syrian terrorists and Al-Qaeda affiliates in Syria to slap down Putin anymore than it would be to do anything to slap down Putin concerning Ukraine, because it would indirectly help Fascists in Ukraine.

This is a common sense approach and rooted in objective values, not morally relativistic values.

Let Europe deal with this, and if they don't then too bad. If Ukraine splits, then it is Odumba and Europe's fault.

Those here who throw out the Putinista line as an Ad Hom attack have no other choice: this situation now is no different than when we had the choice to bomb Syria and/or arm Syrian “rebels” after Obama weaited too long.

Again, this situation is no different.

And I don't care about RINO interventionists wanting to slap down Putin: slapping down Putin wasn't worth arming Syrian terrorists and it isn't worth engaging the Russian or pro-Russian forces with U.S. help as it would be indirectly helping Svoboda and Right Sector.

Svoboda and Right Sector = Syrian “rebels.”

No difference.

That's pretty much where I stand on the Ukraine...too late.
and I didn't expect Obama would do more than “talk a walk” at best because there really wasn't much the US could do about the situation.

However, where we might differ is I'm not in Ukraine's court nor Russia's, because I do think Ukraine will simply be neutral when all is said and done, and not move much further than where it was before in regards to trade etc....though EU will benefit more than before...as well the IMF will get their share of the pie..and that out of the Ukrainians pockets. I think most who saw this begin and esculate could see the similarities with Syria....especially regarding the US involvement. Also reminded me of Egypt....as we watched McCain meet with the less than desirables.

So here we are indeed, BTW looks like those sent to Donestk continue to refuse to obey orders from Kiev Government and siding with Pro-Russians. Kiev Gov. is now pushing thru that it is now 'legal' in Ukraine to protest for referendum's where it has been illegal to do so.. As suspected...'Ukraine Gov. wants to consolidate it's power among the Ukrainians with as little of the Russian element as possible.
