Yes I would if I had to cut them back.
I have one on the north side of the house that is probably 16 foot tall.
It is a monster and I need to cut it down.
The ones on the front of the house are a constant battle.
Then there are the Red Tip Photinas and the Crepe Myrtles....

Now about Mark Levin, I will be out for my parish church's fish fry, and I could end up being late. Can you set up and PING the Mark Levin Show thread please. Also let me know about the show for next week. I do believe Passover is going to start on Monday night, please check your calendar and if he is doing any time off next week in full or not so that neither one of us is surprised. Ugh, another Jap plant. Pretty flowers when they bloom all the way. My concern is the moron that planted it planted it one foot from the house. Looks like it’s going to get bigger, will the roots hurt the foundation?

Species Rhodies/Azaleas *can*, if they aren’t cut back for 30-40yrs. Hybrids and cultivars don’t get that big. Look at the trunk at ground level, and the leaves; not indicative of Rhodies or Azaleas. It’s a Camellia.
They can get big in the south:
