A top building trades union is launching a midterm-election assault on House Democrats who oppose construction of the Keystone XL oil pipeline.

A letter distributed Friday by the Laborers' International Union of North America (LIUNA) to the districts of 27 House Democrats calls for union members to make sure their representative "feels the power and the fury of LIUNA this November."

How long is Obama going to sit on this? Hasn’t this been in the pipeline, pardon the pun, for years now? How much more study does it need????

I heard some liberal talking head say that this pipeline would only create 50 jobs. So, not worth doing as an economic shot in the arm. I question how a huge construction project creates only 50 jobs. But, the liberals live in an alternate universe.

Just shows you how disingenuous they are...

Can you imagine the mockery the left would rain down on the right if we said building a pipeline halfway across the country would generate only 50 jobs...

Must have gotten their numbers from the same source that said there are 7.1 million paid Obamacare enrollees.

I think he's waiting for the right moment.

And it might be now with the BLM and the cattle confiscation fiasco by the Feds.

Imagine if there wee people who reported the facts as a type of news so everyday people would understand what’s going on.

Hard to believe that in 2014 the only actual news source is a few web sites and Glemm Beck

Obama and the Democrats have learned that no matter what they might do to hurt the unions, the unions will always give them huge campaign contributions and vote for them in huge numbers. So there’s no reason for Obama and the Democrats to listen to anything the unions have to say.

On the other hand, the environmental interests have criteria for bestowing money and votes on the Democrats. If Obama approves the XL pipeline before the November elections, the enviros will be angry and hold back their contributions, which the Democrats sorely need this year.

After the elections, Obama can be more ‘’flexible.’’
