With a strong potential for Republicans, who are a majority in the House, to take control of the Senate as well in the November midterm elections, President Obama had stern words for Latino and black voters.
They dont step up to the plate, he said, in midterm elections. And thats a big reason that Democrats dont do well in these elections, he said.
"Our voters are younger, more unmarried women, more African-American and Latino voters," Obama said at a fundraising event in Houston on Wednesday for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, according to The Washington Post. "They get excited about general elections; they don't get as excited about midterm elections."
Blacks and Latinos reliably cast their votes in presidential elections, Obama noted, but added: We have this congenital disease, which is in midterm elections we don't vote at the same rates."

His grammar is atrocious ..
Liberals and the Demonic Party are America's "congenital disease"...
So is his geography.
If it’s really a congenital disease than nothing can fix it. Just ask the gay activists.
....Here we go..his Executive Order granting amnesty and the right to vote will save the day..
The irony of politicl ironies is that as the GOP is always accused of juding people based on race or sexual identity, or skin color, it is the Dems who always invoke it and group themselves around it and claim victimhood because of it. William Holders speech last Tuesday was a disgrace....a man of such privilege and power publicly whining with no shame just shows how cool politically effective claiming victimhood has become.
Women and minorites and a lot of other folks don’t vote in the midterms. Apparently this is because they only vote for a President who promises to give the country away to them...and don’t understand his minions also need their votes to help him give the country away during off election cycles.
I bet if only informed voters voted (and I mean people who read, listen, and follow the news regularly), the GOP would win in a land-slide. Furthermore, I bet if most people understood themselves better, most would identify as a Republican. I find that uniformed voters simply baseline default to “Dems care about people. GOP cares about money” when you try to engage them. They mask their ignorance and lack of well thought out principles by trying to show they care about the unfortunate....which means voting Democrat.
My wife, who worked herself through college, works 60 hours week, and is very successful hates politics and simply will not engage on the matter. I constantly tell her that she’s a Republican, but just doesn’t know it. Last year, she told me she voted for Obama because the GOP didn’t want single women to have birth control (which she heard at work) and she’s against the GOP doing that. I tried to convince her otherwise, but the Dem machine is so strong amongst the disinterestedclass I couldn’t even budge her....and I love this women.
Uhggggg!!!
The idiot has hurt the low end and he’s still preaching hope and change
I suspect that lower participation in midterm elections is across the board and not
limited to a couple of ethnic groups. I don’t have data, just my guess.
Democrats better get busy with the fraudulent registrations.....
I didn’t think we were supposed to single out particular ethnic groups, races, and genders for their characteristics.
The more people will open their minds, the less they will like dems. Not that they will necessarily like republicans, but at least they need to learn to think for themselves.
As long as they are still buying he will keep selling it. Long after the freshness date has come and gone.
The democrats must have a harder time to jimmy the midterm elections?.
When the country was working right, there was nothing wrong with minding your own business and being disinterested in politics. Politics was supposed to be enthusiasm for issues around the edges. Your wife doesn't realize that now the core is affected. She probably will soon.
That’s what I tell her....
