Confederate cavalry general Nathan Bedford Forrest. A brilliant self-taught tactician during the war, but unfortunately also the founder of the original KKK after the war - although he left it when it became even too violent and reactionary for him.

Prior to the Civil War he was a slave trader. As a military leader he was second to none.
