Bundy Ranch Crisis is Reason to Ask "Who Actually owns America’s Land?"
Freedom Outpost ^ | April 13, 2014 | Michael Lotfi

Turtles and cows have absolutely no relevance to the situation in Nevada. Does the Constitution make provision for the federal government to own and control “public land”? This is the only question we need to consider. Currently, the federal government “owns” approximately 30% of the United States territory. The majority of this federally owned land is in the West. For example, the feds control more than 80% of Nevada and more than 55% of Utah. The question has been long debated. At the debate’s soul is Article IV, Section 3, Clause 2 of the Constitution, which is know as the “Property Clause”. Proponents of federal expansion on both sides of the political aisle argue that this clause provides warrant for the federal government to control land throughout the United States.

I wont give away the details....but i must say that I had not heard this before

“Bundy’s family has controlled the land for more than 140 years.”

100 years was the number I had been reading.

Federal lands belong to everyone, not just the ruling elite. The Bundys have my permission to use my portion of the people’s land.

Between the expansive reading of the "Propery Clause" and the concept of eminent domain enunciated in Kelo v City of New London, no American is secure in his property

America demands Justice for the Fallen of Benghazi!

O stranger, tell the Lacedaemonians that we lie here, obedient to their command.

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

I’m not clear on legal ownership, federal or state, but I know that Harry Reid *wants* to own that part of Clark County by hook or crook to add to his shady real estate empire.

As long as the State has the power to tax your property, and take possession of it for non-payment, you DO NOT own your property. You only rent it from the state.

I’d be interested in a historical review of the ownership status of this land and of the Bundy family relationship to it.

You’re not going to get anywhere understanding the government’s relation to land without comprehending that it’s a corporate relationship based on loan equity. If you accept the presumption that the corporate US could use the land as equity, then you have conceded to all of the laws that were made to protect that equity. Like most things FedGov, the first step is the big one, and if you miss that, you’re toast.

If you pay property tax, you do not own the land. . You merely have possession. If people really knew how far gone the concept of freedom was in America they would surrender all effort immediately. We are scary stupid.

These videos are for people who don't yet understand why Cliven Bundy broke his agreement with the BLM. They show why the BLM should not even be managing the public lands of Nevada or any other state.

2of3 Stephen Pratt speaking to Sheriffs at WSSA conference

3of3 Stephen Pratt speaking to Sheriffs at WSSA conference

Here's one that shows why the Sheriff of Clark County is duty bound to keep the BLM and all Federal agents from arresting Cliven Bundy.

One thing a lot of people seem to be confused about is that government does not have any rights it has authority which is granted by the people.
