These posts remind of the scene in Gone with the Wind where war has been declared and all the gentleman are chomping at the bit to go to war. Watch the movie and see how it turned out or better yet, get a book on the civil war and read it. It is no something that should be repeated.

I come from a divided family: Mom was from Missouri, Dad was a Vermonter. We fought the civil war/war of northern aggression and argued its causes and ramifications every week.

So things turned out all peachy for the Jews who dutifully obeyed the German government's orders?
