What is the US government doing with 87% of the land in Nevada?...basically nothing. Why not sell off this land excepting military bases and a few sanctuaries for tortoises and use this money to pay down the national debt? The land would be far better used and cared for by private owners.

All "Federal" lands should revert to to states that enclose them.
It's required by the Constitution.
