The Muslim Brotherhood is “largely secular.” Please. I bet that Netanyahu must have chucked his cookies when he heard those two words connected to the Muslim Brotherhood. Israel seems to have seen right through what really happened in Egypt with the Arab Spring.
I think history will show that everyone saw through it. the problem is that no one has the guts to oppose the mainstreaming of islam because every one of these countries has hit the tipping point where opposition to it equals rioting, dead native citizens and the associated fall from power for the people who allowed it.
So in a classic case of kicking the can, they pretend fantasy is reality and take out their frustrations on a classic scapegoat.
