This has been debunked...I despise Reid but the solar company pulled out a year ago and the land was 170 miles away
The debunking only exists on which solar field one is talking about. There are more than one at issue here and this article goes into detail of the real misdirection being played here.
I have heard that Dingy Harry owns land just north of Searchlite, AZ, which is nothing more than a dusty wide spot in the road between Las Vegas and Lauglin. Apparently that particular land has been set aside for real estate development to create a “bed room” community for LV. (How interesting). If Slimy Harry has land (however HE got hold of it)for such development, why does he not offer up that land for the solar collector site? There is a lot of open space around there.
Should ENN decide to “evict” (meaning run off) ranchers from their land to build a solar collector plant, my guess their could be a lot of potential power outages once, and if ever they get into operation. Pissed off ranchers are nobody to be fighting with.
This is not debunked.
Years ago it was usual practice to make trade offs down to individuals for land exchanges. We were involved in such a deal for a small parcel. Resources and time made/make such deals worthwhile1 even 170 miles apart for such deals In areas as large as Nevada it is not a long/prohibited distance.
These multibillion dollar deals don’t “go away”, they just relocate.
You might want to read all the links on this thread and rethink that statement : Or are you from the government ?
