The shocking secret behind ObamaCare enrollment numbers...(No shock to anyone here!)
FOX News ^ | 04/16/2014 | Michael Cannon

Posted on 04/18/2014 7:47:45 AM PDT by AngelesCrestHighway

Barack Obama wants you to know he enrolled 7.5 million Americans through ObamaCare’s health insurance Exchanges. What he doesn’t want you to know is how. Federal courts may soon rule that President Obama induced the majority of those enrollees to enroll by offering them taxpayer dollars he has no legal authority to spend. If the courts put a stop to that unauthorized spending, a majority of Exchange enrollees would suddenly face the full cost of ObamaCare coverage, and enrollments would plummet.

We know very well how.
We're paying for it!

Regrettably, the court will almost certainly rule in favor of ObamaCare and its subsidies in spite of the wording and intention of the actual law.
We are not a nation of laws any more.

Laws for Obozo are just something to be used to punish enemies. He has no need to actually follow them himself.

Really? HE enrolled them? Then he should take full responsibility for the fact that Michelle's college friend got the no-bid contract to take three and a half years to build a web site that still doesn't work. This egoistic clown could get lost in a tunnel.

Anybody have any idea when the court ruling on this will come out? No matter what the ruling is, I am sure it will be appealed to SCOTUS.

I bet it will be a 5-4 decision.

I think we all know how wise Latina, the ACLU rep on the Supreme Court, etc. will vote.

It will all come down to Roberts and Kennedy, as to whether they think the federal government exceeded authority.

From what I understand, the actual text of the law refers to the states administering the law, and providing subsidies. The federal government is not to provide subsidies.

While the text of the law may be clear, I do think it’s likely that the Court will decide that the written text of the law doesn’t matter. I’m cynical enough to think that.

Can I ask a stupid question?

Why are we supposed to be excited about 7.5 or 8 million sign ups, when we have been told that, before Obamacare, there were at least 40 million uninsured?

Even if, for sake of argument, we accept these numbers from the White House, aren’t there still tens of millions of uninsured who didn’t sign up????

Or, do Obama and his boys orchestrate things, and the media just don’t ask simple questions such as I just posed????

Don’t think it will be 5-4. I think both Roberts and Kennedy will both decide it was a “typo” despite the fact that it was put there deliberately.

Yep, I bet you are right. They will decide it was a typo, or that references to the state really mean the federal government taking actions.

One frustrating aspect of Obamacare, is that many parts of it refer to regulations to be issued by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Meaning some big parts of the bill are a shell, to be filled in at the whim of bureaucrats.

Isn’t this fraud? If not BO, then the actual Offciial who approved the monies being spent. Court will take years to rule on a civil action. Charge people. Boehner & Co. should be impeached also for Treason.

With an incoherent rambling explanation for why.

“We are not a nation of laws any more.”

Our system only works when those at the reigns believe in the moral importance of our basic principles. What percentage of those empowered in one way or another in our nation actually live by unassailable principle? I don’t know the answer, but what I see is moral relativism and an ‘ends justifies the means’ rationalization by a lot of self-convinced narcissists. I’m sure Stalin rationalized he was justified as well when he stayed up at night writing death orders. There is no limit to the evil that can happen when people’s egos are not modulated by a higher principle.

Agreed, this seems to be the 900lb gorilla in the room. I don’t get it either. Shouldn’t *everyone* have coverage? Wasn’t that the goal? They’ve totally moved the goalposts and nobody is calling them out on it.
