After the 1848 revolution in France, the slogan of the non-socialist revolutionaries, lifted from a speech by Lamartine, became “the tricolor [flag] has gone around the world; the red flag [of socialism] has only gone around the Champs-de-Mars [a large park on the Left Bank of Paris].”

......................................................

John Kasich and Mike Pence, both governors of substantial Midwestern states, have been around the track many times. Both served with distinction in Congress. Kasich was a congressman from 1981 until 2001. He was a key player during the heady Gingrich days during which he became Chairman of the House Budget Committee.

This is all talk but Kaisch wants Medicaid expansion for Ohio. Hard to run against ObamaCare in 2016 if you took ObamaCare money.

Mike Pence is the Real Deal. When you look at Kaisch think Boner or Cantor a FIRST CLASS “Soft-Hands” PU$$Y!

I won’t look at Kasich any longer. The man caves when the going gets rough.

Mike Pence is the Real Deal.

I heartily second that!

And yes, Kasick is a wuss. He'll fold at the first sign of some people "not liking him."

I don’t know about Kasich but yeah, Pence is definitely a comer. And Mike Pence ain’t GOpee, he’s conservative. Like Cruz, first generation, too.

RE: This is all talk but Kaisch wants Medicaid expansion for Ohio. Hard to run against ObamaCare in 2016 if you took ObamaCare money.

Not only that... Kasich is pushing Ohio’s problem to the FUTURE when Federal money dries out.

Remember, Federal money for Medicaid is only available for a few years after the expansion. AFTER THAT, the state is on its own.

So, Kasich is Mr. Kick-the-Can. I would guess that he would ALSO be Mr. Kick-the-can when it comes to the country’s debt and other financial problems.

And he has the gall to accuse those who oppose his Medicaid expansion of being UNCHRISTIAN !!

Kasich was good in Congress but caved as Governor by agreeing to expand Medicare there as part of Obamacare. That puts Ohioans on the financial hook, starting in a few years, for scores or hundreds of millions of extra dollars PER YEAR.

So count me out of supporting Kasich in the primaries.

If Boehner is “hell bent” successful in passing amnesty for 40 MILLION ILLEGAL ALIEN INVADER CRIMINALS, Texas will immediately become Rat Blue and America will never again have a Constitutional Conservative President.

Kasich is a gun grabbing RINO. No Way!

Mike Pence. A good conservative but I think he likes being the Gov of Indiana.

Any Republican candidate is going to have to go HARD against the media, to get the message out. Literally, they are now an enemy, and will do anything to help the Dem, including lie openly.

The Dem candidate is likely going to be either Rahm Emanuel, or Mario Cuomo.

PENCE has the right mindset and skills. The question is, can he go up against the Wolf Blitzers and John Stewarts, and win?

I grew up with John Kasich, but I wouldn't vote for him as president. Mr. Pence, I don't know him well enough to comment.

I do know one thing — no more liberals — Democrat or Republican.

I agree wholeheartedly. He has been off "my list" of potential interesting candidates for years now. I will look at Pence, though.

These two have been around forever and very few people in the nation know who they are, name recognition is very weak, however Cruz and Rand have been all about building name recognition, they are all over the country and the news.

Cruz 2016!

Kasich isn’t even a conservative. He’s a Boehner type. If memory serves me correctly, he voted for the Brady Bill.

Am I the only one to remember when Congressman Kasich was going to do/attend a fund raiser in California for then Democrat Congressman Gary Condit? He was shamed into cancelling.
