Washington state has blown past its targets for signing up new Medicaid participants under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
The programs ranks have grown roughly 25 percent in the past six months, helping fulfill one of the acts key goals to provide health care to nearly all Americans.
But with enrollment success comes the challenge of serving more people in a $10 billion program thats already stretched thin in places.
Some of the new enrollees havent seen a doctor in years and need help navigating the health-care morass. Medicaid patients already struggle to get care in parts of the state and for certain medical specialties.
And while the hope is that more efficient, better care for all will drive down medical costs, they could still rise as more people are being helped.

Do the Medicaid recipients get a $2500/yr check?
Then we wished we were Oregon because our website works.
The set-up for the excuse as to why CommieCare is actually making healthcare costs rise.
Few doctors take Medicaid so they still won’t have medical care. Hussein has to write an executive order forcing doctors to take Medicaid patients.
This also happened to me with Medicare. My doctor left (been my doctor for 16 years) in 2012, so had to get another one. Asked my friend for recommendation and called that doctor’s office. Everything went swell except when she asked me about insurance. I said, “Medicare” and she said, “I’m sorry, the doctor doesn’t accept Medicare.” I had no doctor. Called a doctor friend and he suggested his, so called that one and he accepted me, likely because I was a friend of his doctor friend.
It may be getting healthcare is coming down to depending on who you know. Medical care has been destroyed.
That “8 million enrollees” do have some consequences. Just think, we ain’t seen nothin’ yet. Watch what happens after the November elections. America is in for a rude awakening. It’s how communism works.
As if it’s hard to give away free stuff???
