If you haven’t had a drink in thirty years how can you still be an alcoholic. And donations accepted.
If you have a tumor removed are you a dry cancer survivor for the rest of your life?

If you stop smoking you simply stop.

It may help some but the numbers are small compared to those who simply stop for reasons outside of AA.
