Less than 72 hours after gun rights activists outmaneuvered Michael Bloombergs launch of a $50 million Everytown for Gun Safety effort by grabbing Facebook presence with that title, the page was taken down sometime late Friday or early Saturday and now people will find a Bloomberg site, but with angry comments posted by pro-gunners.
But Facebook did not pull the page, according to Eric Reed, one of those responsible for launching the pro-gun grassroots effort to grab the Everytown presence on the social media site. Late Saturday evening, Reed told Examiner via telephone that The page was not yanked by Facebook, it was pulled on our end. Reed is founder of Gun Rights Across America.

Good. I never believed that Facebook would have taken it down.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ talks.
Bloomberg’s “Everytown grassroots” is the epitome of Astroturf.
I’m still trying to grasp this.. but the page is back up.
Says it was created 15 hours ago. I’m now a member of it.
I don’t know why it went down.
Not sure what’s up. There were apparently a whole slew of state “everytown” pages put up so maybe that’s the answer. I don’t do facebook so I can’t say.
All is not peachy in everytown. The comments are blistering! If you have a Farcebook account you may wish to pay a visit - or offer up a comment of your own ;’)

Nearly all the K-12 teachers in this nation, ( both private and government) were trained by godless Marxists in Marxist run colleges of education. Scary!
So!.....While conservatives run around like flies with their wings pulled off chasing the latest outrage of the day, the Marxists are laughing at us. They have the kids.
And....You can be sure that our nation's little boys are being so intimidated and mentally brutalized by their Marxist-trained teachers that, as adults they will be incapable of defending themselves, or their families ( if they can figure out how to get out of their single mom's basement to form one.)
Ha ha ha ha! Just saw the comments posted in reply to Bloomberg’s propaganda.
It was reported on examinerdotcom; a historically inaccurate fake "news" site which some in their haste to get a post in confuse with sites such as The Washington Examiner, which at least has real paid reporters and editors working on it. The fake newssite examinerdotcom brags about using 'citizen-reporters' as its source, sort of like a public-space blog, and has in the past featured such news as the latest mothership landing(s) and which some FReepers produce a 'report' on which is duly put up, and then post about it here to get more hits on their 'news' there to get some revenue.
People may not like Drudge or WorldNetDaily, but at least they have real news there and verified from actual sources, not something some bored person decided to write to while pretending to be a reporter.
I can’t get to the Facebook page at all right now.
That sure looks like a pro gun control FB page to me.
Screw Facebook bump for later....
Yeah, right. Its been that way for 40 years... and you know what, people are starting to rebel against it. Things were far worse in 1994 than they are now.
For one thing, the “progressives” have been forced to be far more in the open and direct about their control and agenda.
They no longer have 99 percent of the media. Now they have maybe 80%, but that 80% is openly “progressive”.
Many less buy their utopian lies now.
I am not saying all is rosy, far from it. But the left is no where near the certain winner that you think.
Wow, what a surprise.
Yeah, but it looks like all the local pages are still in their original format, and if ‘Everytown’ wants to keep up the grassroots act they will have to go after each page. Right now, with the national page under the control of the anti-gunners and all the local pages under the control of the pro-gun folks, Bloomberg certainly can’t claim any sort of grassroots support.
