I'm about the last guy on earth who could be called an “environmentalist”,”animal rights activist” or “conservationist”...but I've been to East Africa and have seen African wildlife up close and personal.Having seen it I feel quite strongly that all reasonable steps should be taken to protect it.The details can be worked out by others.

And you, my friend, are probably the last hope for elephants, because the environmentalists, animal rights activists, and conservationists are ineffective, divided, airheads. All theory, no action. All committees, no heroes.

“The details can be worked out by others”
For those who haven’t read “Unintended Consequences”: http://www.freedomsphoenix.com/Uploads/129/Media/Unintended_Consequences.pdf
1. You owe it to yourself to read it. Could possibly save your life at some point.
2. It contains a great explanation of the necessity of permanently removing big cats and elephants (among other animals) when Africans attempt to become self-sufficient and raise their own crops and livestock in areas that were previously wild.
Not to mention that the above comment sounds like Congress’ approach to passing laws. “Do this.” Someone else can write the regulations and figure out how to make it happen. That’s been working well.
Just sayin’.
