Look up Maunder Minimum. Started the Little Ice Age and resembles what we are going through now. We are 13,500 years past the end of the last glacial period (the ice age hasn’t ended, it just pauses for about 10,000 years every hundred thousand years or so). We are past due for a return of the real thing. Yes, hope it doesn’t happen during our (or our childrens’) lifetimes.
I was half-way expecting my name at the bottom of your post! Yes - we are past due. And agreed, as much as I’d like to shut the “warmist’s” up - we’d all be too worried foraging for food and fighting over the last bit of habitable land.
