Shut up, Joe Scarborough explained. That was the Morning Joe host's advice today to people in Topeka, Kansas who are concerned that First Lady Michelle Obama's visit to the city's joint high school graduation ceremony will limit seating for family members and take the spotlight off the graduates themselves.
The man who makes his living offering his opinions and expressing his concerns instructed Kansans to "keep those concerns to yourself." Adding insult to injury, Scarborough called the concerned Kansans "asinine." View the video after the jump.

It would be nice if some parents could get together and set up another venue for honoring and celebrating their children’s graduation. Sure, they wouldn’t have the official diplomas to pass out, but the event would be more meaningful than having their children participate in Michelle’s political circus. Plus, they won’t have to sit respectfully as they listen to her planned diatribe against America.

Actually, a lot of high schools mail the real diplomas. The ones passed out are blank and for show anyway. Even when I graduated (our size class was 98), the rolled up ones were blank. The real ones came in the mail a day or two later.
Since this year is the 60th anniversary of Brown vs the Board of Education one might speculate that the White House contacted the demorats on the Topeka scool board and suggested the consolidated ceremony for the purpose of a staged propaganda event.
Is Michelle going to tell the kids how to get disbarred?.

If the protests were political in nature, Scarborough might have a glimmer of a point. But the objections are due to far more practical concerns, and those should be addressed before even delving into appropriateness, et. al.
Another asinine talking head who thinks he has something worthwhile to contribute to the debate.
