Original Title:Heres What CBS Had to Say in Response to Sharyl Attkissons Claims About Networks Reporting Bias
CBS News on Monday responded to its former employee Sharyl Attkissons claims that the network indirectly discouraged her from doing investigative reporting critical of the Obama administration. Attkisson reported extensively on Benghazi and the Fast and Furious gun-walking scandal.
The ex-CBS reporter later revealed that she didnt run into the same roadblocks while reporting on issues that hurt former President George W. Bush. She blamed a lot of the bias problems on special and corporate interests.
n response to Attkissons public comments, CBS News issued a statement to TVNewser:
CBS News maintains the highest journalistic standards in what it chooses to put on the air. Those standards are applied without fear or favor.
The spokesperson did not address Attkissons allegations specifically.
In a Sunday interview with Brian Stelter on Reliable Sources, Attkisson said it appeared that politics sometimes kept some of her stories from making it on the air.
The tendency on the part of some of these managers who have key influences has been they never mind the stories that seem to go against the grain of the Republican Party, she said. But they do often seem to feel defensive about, almost, personally defensive on stories that could make the government look bad.

CBS statement: “The renegade Sharyl Atkinsson is a counterrevolutionary Trotskyite trying to damage the cause of socialism and social progress. This reactionary running dog of the Wall Street plutocrats wants to reverse the progress that the proletariat has made since 2009 under the leadership of Barack Obama and the party. We resolutely condemn her splittist attempts to undermine the unity of the media which, under the guidance of the party, continues to educate and teach the workers and peasants about the advantages of the communal form of life.”
Although Egbert Murrow did have a lung removed due to his incessant smoking leading to ling cancer, his actual cause of death was brain cancer.
Oooh, even better. Oh wait...what brain?
He was unfaithful to his wife, Janet and distant from his son Casey. A notorious womanizer, Egbert Roscoe Murrow's first radio appearance occurred happened when he got slobbering drunk and rudely pushed CBS colleague Robert Trout out of the way to hog the microphone. His nationwide slurring of words didn't keep Paley from allowing Murrow's reputation to rise.
I well remember when John F. Kennedy appointed Egbert as head of the U.S. Information Agency, which allowed him to push his leftism around the world under the banner of an official American organization. This from the guy who gave both Leon Trotsky and Earl Browder (CPUSA) a program on the Columbia network.
Your acquaintance was a Patriot and I only wish someone neutralized Murrow before his career took off and did so much damage to these United States. It really is a shame that this traitor has such a glowing reputation.
Heh! I knew that was coming! Sometimes the headlines just write themselves. :)
That said, Egbert Roscoe Murrow was actually quite a learned, intelligent man. On the other hand, he lacked both discernment and wisdom. Thus he applied his considerable mind toward using his power in the media to degrade America and its traditional values.
CBS News... BULL$HIT artists of the highest order.
From a reporter CBS' "journalists" may recognize named Carl Bernstein, writing in 1977 (much more detail on link):
The Columbia Broadcasting System. CBS was unquestionably the CIAs most valuable broadcasting asset. CBS President William Paley and Allen Dulles enjoyed an easy working and social relationship. Over the years, the network provided cover for CIA employees, including at least one well‑known foreign correspondent and several stringers; it supplied outtakes of newsfilm to the CIA3; established a formal channel of communication between the Washington bureau chief and the Agency; gave the Agency access to the CBS newsfilm library; and allowed reports by CBS correspondents to the Washington and New York newsrooms to be routinely monitored by the CIA. Once a year during the 1950s and early 1960s, CBS correspondents joined the CIA hierarchy for private dinners and briefings.
