Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote the majority opinion, and the court was divided 6-2, with justice Elena Kagan recusing herself from the case; she was the U.S. solicitor general when the case was before the lower courts. The tone of the article is, to say the least, off-putting. By 2019 half of the children 18 and under will be minorities as defined by the USG, and by 2043 we will be a majority-minority country. Demographics will take care of the problem.
