Prof Calls Republicans Racist and Misogynist, Warns They Will Close Colleges

Imagine walking into a college class Monday morning and finding the professor ranting against those 'racist, misogynist, money-grubbing people' known as Republicans. Welcome to intro to creative writing at Eastern Connecticut State University (ECSU).

If the GOP takes control of the House and the Senate in 2014, Professor Brent Terry warned, ‘colleges will start closing up’ and America could very well revert back not to 1955, but to 1855:'

There are a lot of people out there that do not want black people to vote, do not want Latinos to vote. Do not want old people to vote, or young people to vote. Because generally, people like you are liberal.

You want equality. You want racial equality. You want financial equality. You want to be able to use your education and go out into the world and make it better, but you’d also like to be able to get a job. All these things point toward being liberal.

Never ever in the history of the United States has it been so important to vote….

It's absolutely possible that the Republicans will take over the Senate as well as the House. And we will live in a very, very, very different kind of country if that happens. I mean, colleges will start closing up if they, if these people have their way. They don't think money should go to giving you people dangerous ideas about how the world should be run.

The professor stated maybe one true fact: Republicans do have a very good chance of maintaining control of the House and additionally winning the Senate. Perhaps this one truth fueled the frenzy of lies embedded in the rest of his lecture.

Terry referenced a study conducted by Princeton and Northwestern universities which claimed that the United States has turned from a democracy to an oligarchy:

The central point that emerges from our research is that economic elites and organized groups representing business interests have substantial independent impacts on U.S. government policy, while mass-based interest groups and average citizens have little or no independent influence.

Special interest groups lobby for both Democrat and Republican policies. The study even used the example of "pharmaceutical, hospital, insurance, and medical organizations" lobbying and spending money on health care issues. Rather than show all the facts accurately, the professor used the empirical data to target the GOP.

According to Campus Reform, an ECSU official said the issue is “not a university matter” since faculty have academic freedom to conduct their classes at will.

Fortunately for the future of America, at least one student identified the ignorant accusations being made and recorded the lecture.

Why is a writing (English) professor, `Chromedome’ Terry, Phid, ranting about politics in class? (Or, as I think of it, bravely standing and repeating what every other campus egghead thinks. Courageous souls, yes-sir!)

Many years ago I had an English professor just like him, he used his classroom as a soapbox, he was also a fooking lefty. They kept him around because ... *all* the faculty were left wing tools! You could walk down the hall and see the political cartoons on their sheep doors, mostly `Doonesbury,’ all predictable.

The students, parents and alumnus of this institution of higher indoctrination might wish to demand that the professor stick to the #1 rule of writing: `teach (write) what you know’ instead of, like Fidel Castro, haranguing students with your long-winded establishment political views.
We insisted on it at my school and our Angry Old/Young Man was required to confine his ranting to after-hours beans and rice suppers for Nicaragua, Save the Whales lectures, and other stuff like that.
We don’t pay tuition to subsidize these academic douchebags, and we don’t have to put up with their s***.

When I was in college, my micro-economics professor was a total loon. He refused to use the textbook that every other economics professor on my campus used. Instead, he had us buy a weird assortment of paperbacks containing straight-up socialist and Marxist theory. He also walked around campus in the middle of summer in a black fur-lined hat and heavy, black full-length winter overcoat. I think he thought he was Vladimir Lenin.

Yet, somehow the college apparently didn’t view that behavior as unusual. Fit right in, I guess. These liberal idiots couldn’t defend their beliefs for 5 seconds in a real debate, so they hide within the protective walls of the academy and force-feed their idiocy to gullible young students who can’t even speak up if they want to for fear of retaliation.

If colleges and universities have become places at which one merely pays a fortune to be lied to and intimidated, then I’m not sure I see the reason for their continued existence. The average home-schooled 3rd grader learns vastly more than will anyone in this “professor’s” class.

Here is his APOLOGY.
http://www.ctpost.com/local/article/Professor-apologizes-for-anti-GOP-words-5422409.php

“During my creative writing class yesterday, I allowed my own political opinions to color the discussion,” he wrote. “I regret the language I used and I apologize to any students in the room who were offended. As a liberal arts university, Eastern is known for encouraging debate and discussion about a host of social and political issues. My role in my own classroom is to keep the debate lively yet respectful. I did not meet that standard yesterday, and for that I am truly sorry.”

Close colleges? Why would I care if they are open or closed? As long as they are in flames, I’m good.

Colleges will start closing up on their own due to the fact there’s too many worthless degrees out there. Only the good ones, the necessary ones, will remain.

Why do people pay good money to educate their kids to have a raving lunatic teaching a class. I”d hate to be a college kid and have be paying on a student loan for this diatribe.
I also don’t think I would have a child attending ESCU.
Shut the door boys you’re not needed!

Whenever libs get control of any institution of learning (or anything else), it goes downhill fast. You start getting womyn's studies, queer studies, black studies, etc. Conservatives are virtually banned from even speaking on college campi, and divergent opinions are severely repressed. In short, many libs are closet fascists.

The liberal arts courses of full of leftist ideologues who can't leave their ideology out of their lectures. I've been through that crap. Students today should not have to tolerate this foolishness.
