Civil unions are fine, IMO. There are all sorts of civil unions that already exist. A civil union for homosexual couples would simply be one additional sort of union.

But marriage is another thing, entirely, with special privileges granted by society in the hopes that those special privileges will foster healthy families with children.

Good, after Romney and McCain I am not optimistic, but Ted Cruz is what this country needs.
