Taking on the Russian bear in their own back yard could get ugly.

Tell all those EU countries to keep Russia at bay.

Russia will intervene if its interests come under threat. Its warning should not be brushed off lightly.

Even taking on the Bear in the neighbor’s yard could get ugly.

If we get into a war with Russia, we lose. Barry would love that.

How do you attack someone when they aren’t there?

This is laughable.

The US is not a voice of reason in this situation. With Crimea's voters gone, I'd think Kiev would have won an honest election if the coup government had shown a capacity to govern fairly. Every map of the percentages in the last election would support that.

Kiev and the US could've just left it alone, east and west, and let the occupied building stay peacefully occupied until the election. Instead they call the eastern Ukranians "terrorists" and send in thugs to kill people guarding a checkpoint in the early hours of Easter AM. One can only assume that Kiev inspired by the US wants chaos as an excuse to not have an election.

And those 600 troops to Poland? I'd much rather have them on our border with Mexico. This is not our fight, and we should not be in NATO anymore or involved in issues that belong to the EU, Russia and those in Ukraine. It's just disgusting that US policy is enabling Kiev to think of itself as any more than a coup government, temporary until the election. I wonder why Ukraine should even have to pay back any loans that government accepts or any agreements it makes.

Ukraine, Poland the Baltics are their own yards.

Russia's "back yard" would of course be land in their own country.

Russia threatens response if interests attacked in Ukraine

I wish we dealt with Mexico the same way.

This is more like the Russian Bear fighting another Russian Bear. Or the Novogorod verses the Rus or Scythian’s. Tough fighters all the way around. And we are going back to a place where some of the toughest fighting in WWII occurred.
