The Republican Woman Loses, Again
Time ^ | Jay Newton-Small

Posted on 04/24/2014 12:13:28 AM PDT by ObamahatesPACoal

It's starting to look like the GOP won't have many female candidates left standing by November.

Voters in a Florida congressional district went to the polls Tuesday to elect a new representative following Trey Radel’s resignation this year after pleading guilty to cocaine possession. The winner was millionaire businessman and Tea Party darling Curt Clawson, who self-funded his campaign to the tune of $2.65 million. But the story of who won isn’t much of a surprise: A rich, white Tea Partier is not a new breed in Washington these days.

KEYWORDS: clawson; female; rino; woman
The problem is so many female Republicans in congress happen to be RINOs.

It’s amusing to see how snarkily-written that article is...

Anyways, my momma says that the country started to go to crap when they gave women the power of the vote.

"Her supporters in Tallahassee spent almost $300,000 in Super PAC money to help get her elected and she received money from Republican Reps. Aaron Schock and Jason Chaffetz." Aaron Schock has no primary opposition and no general opposition. He is rolling in cash. How much cash has this guy blown?

I don’t remember Time reporting on Allen West’s loss in St. Lucie County.

I really hate liberals, but I especially hate stupid, lying liberals.

A perfect demonstration of liberal racism.....look at the gender or skin color of the candidate, not the content of their character.

Does anyone even read Time anymore? With poorly written articles like this one I can see why they aren’t.

Aaron Schock (My rep) was presented as a very young, very conservative, when he first ran for congress. He no sooner was elected and started talking global warming nonsense. What a disappointment he’s been.

Before him we had Ray Lahood (obama’s number one boy), before that rino Bob Michaels.

“Tea Party darling Curt Clawson, who self-funded his campaign”.....

Sounds like he is dedicated to winning when he spends his OWN MONEY instead of using other people money. Being a "Tea Party" candidate is a good indicator he might be a good one.

Leave it to TIME to find some liberal way to spin great news out of Florida. They don;t think women are intelligent enough to understand that common sense in politics extends far beyond what type of plumbing the candidates have.

“A rich, white Tea Partier”
Such disdain. What’s worse in modern America? Being white? Or successful?

I'm so disgusted with female "conservatives" particularly in the US Senate that I'd be very careful about voting to send another one. Look at Kelly Ayotte.....she campaigned as a true conservative, and hadn't even finished unpacking before becoming head cheerleader for the McCain fan club. Did ANY of them in the HOR or Senate stand with Ted Cruz in his 21 hours?

I think that it's totally appropriate to be leary of sending any more female "conservatives" unless they have a voting record to back their campaign rhetoric.

We’ve reached a point where past voting records at the state and local levels may not mean much. The feds can just borrow and spend without limit. Pols know that and long to be free of the fiscal restraints of state and local governments.

Promises to manage unconstitutional spending well, or “cut the pork” out of unconstitutional spending are dodging the real issue.
