I would think anyone with any sense as an ambassador, would not get involved in publicly lecturing the Host country about why you don't like their traditions.
Should Japan respond by lecturing us about rewarding sexual deviance in this country.

I wold hope ambassadors would make relations with countries go more smoothly and not highlight the the controversial differences. -Tom
