The Left is determined to craft the narrative on this story regardless of what took place. Bundy didn’t seize anything. He let his cattle graze there and did land improvements, basically acting as a steward, not an owner.

it amazes me how far the left has gone to demonize this man for his refusal to pay grazing fees and play along with the BLM’s extortion racket. I guess anyone who defies the fed must be destroyed.

Mr. Bundy acted as steward of the land and the left wants him gone. Where are the animal rights wackos? And the environmentalists?

play along with the BLM’s extortion racket.

Posted elsewhere, but bears repeating to show what we are up against (my emphasis).

A Wyoming rancher was fighting the BLM over their claim to an easement through his land and sued them under RICO.

"All the justices gave a thumbs-down to Robbins' claim under the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, known as RICO.

On that issue, Robbins claimed that the BLM employees violated the Hobbs Act, the federal extortion law, which defines extortion as 'the obtaining of property from another, with his consent ... under color of official right.'

Robbins' claim failed, Souter wrote, because the act 'does not apply when the national government is the intended beneficiary of the allegedly extortionate acts.' "

So, if the government is the beneficiary, extortion, alleged or not, is OK
