Can you point out what was wrong or racist in what he said? Or is it now the policy that nobody can say anything about the master race?

Of course Bundy is a racist.

Everyone who speaks of government oppression has been labeled a radical right winger and or a racist.

Those in government were just waiting for something, anything to discredit the old guy...

This is what government does and it's all aided and abetted by their friends in media.

They attempt to discredit and destroy anyone or anything which opposes them.

Of course those capable of critical thought have long understood they have been using race as a weapon for decades now.

When all else fails, pull the race card.

What is the problem here? They are still enslaved only now it is the Democrat Party as the owners. They quit voting for the Dims and they will be thrown under the bus.

I see. This is the part where they must “Cut off the support network and isolate, polarize, demonize.” Because Bundy says something with a politically incorrect word, it's now okay that his family is massacred and his land stolen so Harry Reid can sell it to the Chinese for solar panels.

None of this has any bearing on what we all witnessed last week where an out of control, militarized federal government brought their storm troopers to “protect” a freaking turtle and steal an old man’s cows.

But keep shaking that shiny object, New York Times. It just proves you have lost the argument.

In the case of the New York Slimes, the motto should always be — VERIFY before TRUST.

Big Media is lying.

Again.

As usual.

It’s all they know how to do.

He had a minor point about the black family under slavery:

“I was stunned to learn that a black child was more likely to grow up living with both parents during slavery days than he or she is today”

Leftist historian,Eugene D. Genovese

Of course, Slavery could also break up that family with impunity if the slave owner wanted to but the the Liberal Welfare State has been disastrous to the black family so his statement is not racist in that sense unless the truth is racist.

Well, Mr. Bundy was clearly talking about unemployed welfare recipients. Seems like, despite his low brow articulation, he is in pretty good company:

Walter E. Williams puts it: “The welfare state has done to black Americans what slavery couldn’t do, what Jim Crow couldn’t do, what the harshest racism couldn’t do. And that is to destroy the black family.”

Hoover Institution Fellow Thomas Sowell concurs: “The black family, which had survived centuries of slavery and discrimination, began rapidly disintegrating in the liberal welfare state that subsidized unwed pregnancy and changed welfare from an emergency rescue to a way of life.”

So first your defense is there is no evidence he said it. Then when that is proven wrong, you dispute that the statements, at minimum, come across as racist?

Are you living in alternate universe where it’s still okay to say things like, “The Negro” is worse off today because they didn’t learn to “pick cotton”? Or suggesting “the Negro” was maybe better off as a slave? Seriously man?

I mean, I understand that this old guy may just have antiquated views on race, but that doesn’t mean those sorts of statements are going to be acceptable to virtually anyone. In saying these things, Bundy pretty much just alienated almost every significant political ally he had.

He's on tape saying it. It's been posted here already.

I could not help but notice this story sure brought you out of the shadows really fast.

Just curious, how many times did you even comment or post on the Bundy ranch event prior to this?

Bundy should know that the press will twist the words of anyone who is not incahoots with them (i.e. patriots).

Fantastic. I love art critic jokes, because I can paint like Jackson Pollock too; so can all. I see a great way to up the incoming donations to FR with a bogus art contest. ;)

The shadows eh? You mean the shadows the enveloped me since a whopping 2 days ago when I commented on the Ukraine? Or 3 days ago on the same subject.

Just curious, how many times did you even comment or post on the Bundy ranch event prior to this?

What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? I don't post as much lately because I'm busy. Sometimes I have time/energy to post a lot, sometimes not. My last posts have been largely Ukraine related, slamming the mostly libertarian Putinista's on here who have been excusing Russia's land grab in Ukraine (and using RT propaganda to do it). Throw in a couple posts about the fact I think the new pope is a socialist (predictably so considering he is a South American Jesuit) and probably some pleading with folks to nominate candidates that CAN win general elections and that's all I've had time for lately.

You're point is what? That it's viable to say things like Bundy said (and was caught on tape)? Do you not see how much damage he just did to his own cause? Or do you want to just throw on the blinders and wonder why any serious political help he once had vanishes?

You act as though discussing whether a perception is true or not is somehow “racist”. Saying that discussion of the truth as it pertains to blacks is not allowed is what is racist.

In no way do any of Cliven’s comments justify the Fed’s lawless actions.

And THAT is the heart of the matter.
