George Stephanopoulos, the co-anchor of "Good Morning America" and principal host of "This Week," has renewed his contract with ABC News, a network spokesperson confirmed on Thursday.
The contract, which network sources described as long term, will see Stephanopoulos remaining at the helm of both programs, even as he dials back his hosting duties on the Sunday program. The news was first reported by TVNewser.
"We expect him to remain with us for many, many years," Heather Riley, an ABC News spokesperson, told POLITICO. "This represents what he wanted he is commited to GMA and This Week and understands the power of those platforms."

Man, I really thought I had a chance at that spot.
Yep, an open Clinton operative is in a high position at ABC news.
I can’t wait for his puff piece interview with Hillary when she runs for president.
Well, I guess I’ll have to boycott This Week for another TEN YEARS...................

ABC..All Buddies of Clinton
Twinkletoes
Regardins ABC, NBC and CBS...are there any anchors that were former republican politicians or their staff? 1) Scarborough doesn’t really count because MSDNC is watched by 7 people (plus he isn’t conservative) and 2) I can’t think of any on the “big 3”...But Chuck Todd, Tim Russert, and Stephy all worked for democrats and presumably vote that way...
Meant to add Chrissy Matthews to that list...so at least 4: Matthews, Russert (RIP), Stephy and Todd...I am sure there are more...
Viva la revolution and the war on women.
The little Greek turd.
What a worthless little midget. Can’s stand seeing him on tv. Should have gone to jail for obstruction, perjury, etc. under the Clinton gang, but for some reason, the little man is free and making millions.
Must have past his psych eval.
