Russian Troops Testing Ukraine Border: Officials
NBC News ^ | 4-24-2014 | Jim Miklaszewski and Courtney Kube

Russian military forces are “pulsing the border” and making a “run toward Ukraine” — but pulling up well short — in their “training exercise," U.S. officials told NBC News on Thursday.

But it’s not clear whether the Russian forces are actually preparing to cross the border into Ukraine or simply putting on a “show of force,” the officials said.

They added that there is no strong indication that the Russians are preparing to invade but still stick by their earlier estimate that from their current positions, these troops could launch a complex invasion and be inside Ukraine in less than 12 hours.

So, WWIII continues in Ukraine and we will soon be fully involved. I wonder when our defensive military will be ordered home to defend our borders.

Most likely they are trying to trigger a Ukrainian
mis-step as a prelude to invasion.

There is too much utility in a foreign distraction from domestic failure, decline and loss of freedom. We are in a never ending Occupy Terra mode until we can no longer afford it.

Surprisingly, ABC News devoted almost as much time to Ukraine tonight, as they did to bashing Bundy...

Our elites believe that if they're in the US their purpose is to enforce the elites' suppression of American citizens.

NSA, which spies on all communication foreign and domestic, but worries most about spying on the domestic, is part of the military.

Phone tapping en masse is, therefore, a national security military operation.

Clandestine CIA operations that carry on foreign covert paramilitary operations - they report up directly to the President, a civilian, and are not part of the military.

This avoids any unseemliness of any personnel involved getting confused, thinking they are doing something "military", like having a war, and accidentally wondering about needing something silly like a declaration of war.

Generally the opposite of what makes sense for liberty and security is they way things are set up.

The think tanks advise our elected officials to ensure that the policy continues.

The NSA is actually an entity that doesn't particularly like the military. You can bet the information used to purge the military of late was presented to King Barry on a silver platter by the NSA. They also don't much care for the DIA and have tried on several occasions to have both the DIA and Naval Intelligence eliminated.

People who deal in secrets like to be the only ones who control access to those secrets.

I just find it “interesting” (i.e., shocking) that an organization that is part of the Department of Defense is what the Supreme Court says is “OK” to collect and store all communication of all Americans, i.e., phone call, emails, etc.
