Certainly wouldn’t pretend to say what causes the drought other than to say it maybe didn’t rain as much in the past. So many people have been added to California that even if we had the same amount of rain as in the past it still wouldn’t be enough to make up the difference in consumption.
I have always felt that the addition of all the solar panels and wind farms has to have some effect on the wind currents. Wish someone would prove me wrong on that issue.

You may have something there. Count the population in the affected region pre-drought and now. Tally the percentage of estimated illegal aliens during the same time periods, add at least 10 % for the ones they didn’t catch, compare, and do the math

You are certainly not wrong but you are only half right.
Half of the problem was caused by the legal immigration
of liberal Americans from everywhere starting in the
1960s. What happened to my state? Don’t let it happen
