“Williams and Sowell have never said blacks were better off under slavery.”
Neither did Bundy.
Media twisting words again and the “uninformed’ swallowed the bait.
Which teaspoon of medicine to take?
The bitter truth?
Or the sweetest lie?
Everyone is asking why he even brought up the subject of race. Well he said that he noticed among the many people that showed up at his ranch to support him that there were no African Americans. He lamented that the “colored” needed to be part of the fight against government overreach and went on to explain why. If trying to bring people under the shelter of your umbrella is considered racist then this country is truly lost.
This is a classic example of intellectual dishonesty: Making a statement of opinion without knowing all the facts.
I'm not going to pick apart the whole piece, but the key words here are millions they owe: That's a product of the media.
IMHO, I'd use just one part of what he wrote and combine with my own contribution and save a bunch of hot air:
"Cliven Bundys case is an example of government overreach and Media assassination"
(did anyone every confirm that the NYT was actually at the desert 'press conference' where the video was shot and that they identified themselves as NYT? I'm convinced he was baited into opening up. The Bundy family was already on alert for 'false statements', going so far as to warn supporters and media that if it didn't come from the family it might be false. We may never know for sure unless the family is able to confirm it or others present that day come forward)
The point is the same, i.e., How much progress has been made under the ministrations of the Left?
I think AmericanThinker has an American stinker on board. :-)
He didnt say anything that Walter Williams and Thomas Sowell havent said a million times.
Can you provide a link to articles where they said blacks today would be better off as slaves?
No.
Now he’s blaming MLK Jr. because people don’t like his racist rant.

No, because I’m sure they’ve never said that blacks would be “better off” as slaves.
But, just as they have pointed to particular ways in which blacks have lost ground since Jim Crow, I would not be surprised to find that they have pointed out particular ways in which they have lost ground since slavery.
Slavery was not one long Auschwitz. It was evil, but so are a 90% illegitimacy rate and the abortion of 52% of black babies.
