ANC's glory fades as South Africa's 'born free' generation votes
The Guardian ^ | Thursday 24 April 2014 | David Smith

Six months pregnant, Elizabeth Kganyo was determined to cast her vote, even if it meant standing in a sun-baked queue for hours on end. "I was so excited because it was the first time," she recalls, sitting on an upturned plastic basket outside her shack in Diepsloot, north of Johannesburg. "Everybody wanted to vote. Everybody was happy."

South Africa held its first multiracial election 20 years ago on Sunday, defying bombs, bluster and the threat of civil war to conjure a spectacle of voters in long, winding lines that ravished the world. But for Kganyo, like millions of others who put a cross beside the face of Nelson Mandela, those days of miracles and wonder are a fading memory. "It's not the same now. We're not happy to vote any more. It's not like the first time."

It only means they fond another entity, blaming the whites for all African faults, more blatantly than ANC.

Regardless, South Africa has gone from a first World country to third World Sh1T Hole in a quarter century.

Race baiters and undocument socialists in America are busy to catch up. Detroit was their model city at the time. It still is but they don’t like to speak about it in the open.

It happened to all European-colonized African countries. I remember back in 1959 when Ghana was the first colonized African country to be granted full independence, and the Brits left. All the good people jumped up and down exclaiming that the people were finally free. Ghana went swiftly downhill.

That happened to numerous African countries when the colonial powers left. Those countries descended into chaos and violence, and a strongman i.e. dictator took over. Recolonization would be the best thing for most African countries. The sad truth is that they can't govern themselves.

Afrikaners lived in South Africa for 350 years and they built the country but they need to leave.

“Recolonization would be the best thing for most African countries. The sad truth is that they can’t govern themselves.”

Years after independence, Mozambique sent out feelers to Portugal about “administering” them; their request was denied. To their credit, they have attracted many of the Rhodesian farmers, giving them land on the simple condition that they employ their people on the farms (which is no problem; many blacks were employed by those whites in Zimbabwe, and they were beaten for doing so when the farms were taken).

I know that. Sorry if I didn’t mention the exception. But it’s because the Afrikaners were the first inhabitants of that region, that I didn’t mention them. I was specifically referring to countries with black Africans being colonized.

Afrikaners were first settlers in Capetown (other than a handful of Bushmen). Bantu tribes didn’t move in the territory for another hundred years or so.

The Afrikaners should never have allowed the Bushmen to settle there.

Bushmen were there for thousands of years. And they weren’t in significant numbers. You meant Bantu tribes.

Lesson for American whites: If you don't outbreed new immigrants, you are going to be asked to leave some day, too.

Alright, I stand corrected. But what I meant to infer was the Afrikaners should never have let themselves get outpopulated by black Africans of whatever ethnicity.

The major flaw of Apartheid was its reliance on cheap African labor.
