Is that why they need speed traps and such in order to collect money and buy toys such as this? Ridiculous.

Much cheaper drones are available from Quadrocopter. And you can build your own.

How much is a real one. Maybe they could contract one out with a real pilot. What a waste of money.

No..you missed that the drone was a $300k grant from the feds.
