Nope - Hage’s latest win has not been overturned. Hage duid have a countersuit, but his defense and suit were based on Nevada grazing law and grazing easements.

I understand what you’re saying, but you have just expanded the fight (and diluted your strength) to the point of meaninglessness.

But you all go ahead, fight an ever expanding war, and leave the winnable battle for us “small” thinkers.

And don’t forget to excoriate the folks who prefer to stay focused and not try to do everything at once.

BTW - how has this new front worked out for Bundy so far?

Watch the liberals, they never get off message.

Democrats don't get off message because the Democrat party is a 'top down' bunch of thugs - they don't allow people to think for themselves.

How do I know that?

When a journalist is at a Tea Party gathering ANYONE can be interviewed. When a journalist is at an "Occupy' or other 'liberal' protest the journalist must talk to the spokesperson. No one is allowed to speak... without permission. It's the true 'stupid' party...

They could run idiots and hand them talking points to read... that's about as much intellect as it takes to be a democrat.

Unfortunately, Mr. Keyes is not a “Black leader” in the sense of having cachet in the Black community. As a conservative he is considered an “uncle tom.”

Yes - I understand what you’re saying. But wrongs are righted one at a time, not wholesale. The specific grazing issue was the point of the spear. I fear it has been abandoned for the “bigger picture”, which will ultimately mean nothing changes.

Yep, you’re right. My point is about staying focused. Conservatives, I thought, should be capable of staying on topic without top down control - but they aren’t, it seems. Discussions on this board dishearten me because of the number of folks who don’t even understand how and why these things sputter out. They have no focus, and they dilute all of their potential energies trying to beat down a mile long wall all at once, instead of concentrating on one spot until it gives way.

“We” don’t have much control over it anymore. It was being controlled and directed pretty well before Bundy’s unfortunate comments. Once he spoke, things spun out in viral fashion - which was easily predictable.

My brother is managing his issues pretty well - he calls me to vent, and to get advice once in a while, but there is nothing to build a movement on...yet. Besides, one can’t really run to the front of one of these deals - Bundy’s honest fight brought the spotlight to him, he wasn’t trying to lead a movement, the movement rallied to his cause. It was the cause, not the man, the attracted the support.

My brother’s case might well become “the cause” but I hope not, I wouldn’t wish that on anybody.

I have never expected Bundy to be perfect, so quit putting words in my mouth or assuming thoughts or opinions I have never expressed. All I hoped from Bundy is that he would understand that his battle was nearly won, that a much greater groundswell was beginning, and all he needed to do was remain focused and on topic.

My gosh! Hasn’t everyone seen over and over the mess conservatives have made by blabbing off topic? Doesn’t anybody learn from past events?

We have to be wise and circumspect if we want to win. We keep insisting on being bold and brash and provocative - and we needlessly break our swords upon the same rock again and again.

BTW - I seem to be the only one on this thread NOT “playing their tune” and recognizing what is going on...and more importantly why it happened in the first place.

So, then, Clarence Thomas is not a black leader?

Nor is Alan West?

Right?

No - you abject fool - more people are talking about whether Bundy is a racist or not. Very few are talking about grazing rights.

If nobody is talking about grazing rights, this fizzles out - and you’re helping it fizzle....but you get to beat your chest and call other folks not “pure” enough, so not all is lost.

No matter how often you want to repeat your lies, it doesn’t suddely make them true.

Sigh. They are leaders who are Black. "Black leader" implies leadership within the Black community, which no conservative Black has (unfortunately).

This isn't worth arguing about.

When was Hage’s latest win? I would like to read about that if you have a source. I know his estate is actually fighting but had only heard of the one win that was a countersuit and the ruling in his favor was based on the way BLM treated him.

Your post makes no sense to me. In the first place, I know exactly what this is about - more than most here, probably more than you do - because it is pretty close to my own family. People were inspired by Bundy’s case - and that is critical. Hage’s case was won a few years ago, but it never received much attention. I was aware of the case, and followed it through my brother and his involvement with a group of ranchers trying to fight the fight - not as a great cause, but as a way to preserve their livelihoods - just like Bundy. In reality - this story is about Bundy and cattle and turtles...AND the corrupt, tyrannical government that is lording it over the "vassals". Bundy became the rallying cry first for other ranchers familiar with the BLM, then it expanded to a larger group of supporters - including many, most probably, who don't really understand the specifics. This case had the opportunity to be the first brick in the wall to fall - bringing about the destruction of the wall. I'm the one trying to stay focused on the REAL issue, Bundy's right to his grazing easement, and the BLM's violations of that right. Bundy, unfortunately, tried to expand the attack before the first job is done. Had he stayed focused on the first job, it would have done much to further the larger job because of the attention it was drawing. But he has lost support (whether he should lose support or not is not the point - he did lose support, and it was predictable that he would), he has diffused the focus (few are talking about Reid and tortoises and grazing rights and BLM anymore), and his cause languishes. I never said Bundy owed anybody anything - but I have said he was strategically foolish in saying what he said - and he was. He should have known better, there is plenty of precedence that should have informed him that what did happen WOULD happen. It was a lost opportunity both for his specific issue, and for the larger cause he is evidently espousing.

Pay attention to the gist of their posts and make a mental note of their screen names. Eventually, they all will out themselves. Threads such as this smoke them out.

Last June. I’m not exactly sure if this was the suit or not - probably was. But the ruling was much broader than just compensation for BLM’s bad behavior.

Yes - you’re right that more experienced folks have run afoul of a voracious and predatory liberal machine and their lackey media. But they were victims of planned traps set for them.

I assume Bundy saw what happened to those other folks - he is, after all, very aware of the larger problem beyond his specific grazing rights issue - and it is frustrating to me that he didn’t even get led into the bog, he went there voluntarily.

BTW - I admire Cliven Bundy in what he’s doing, has done, and is trying to do...but I think he foolishly made a large strategic mistake.
