Perry says of the New York ad, I thought Id seen everything.
People make all kinds of claims. But when I saw this, I thought Id seen everything. The facts New York is the unfriendliest state for business
If youre tired of New York, theres an option: Texas. Creating jobs, creating success, leading the way.

Hope it doesn’t backfire on him. He might just get a huge influx of New Yorkers looking for work instead of NY businesses looking to relocate. Everyone needs to be concerned about the very real possibility of Texas turning blue. I hear they’re leaving California for Texas in droves.

That is an incredible ad, aside from it’s core purposes, this campaign by Perry is a wonderful campaign for conservative ideals, in a way that is easy for non-political America to absorb deeply and in a meaningful way.

Perry should be discouraging New Yorkers and other libtards from moving to Texas and turning it blue. What an idiot.
He should have stated “New York is a great state to do business in” and hold his laughter afterwards...

I'm a Mississippi transplant to Texas, and I've seen plenty of New York, California, and Virginia license plates around here.
As a new Texan, I pledge to be true to the values of Texas, NOT be some Parasite, who destroys its host and then moves onto another State.

Anyone posit that this is precisely the intent of the Blue States? Make their tax and spend death spiral so bad that it forces hypocrite leftists to leave their state, colonize the Red States, and eventually turn the entire country Blue? The Blue State government are fully aware of the flight of the leftists and the productive from their midst, yet they continue to double-down on death spiral policies. Is it a plan?

A decent number of those who actually WANT WORK will be decent. Forty percent of NYers will vote conservative. They should be allowed to make a better life for themselves.
P.S. ex-CT Yankee, now in WI, with Texas on my short list for the next move.

No problem..... the reason New Yorkers are New Yorkers is because they lack the gumption to move
Years ago, there was a westward migration. Those fearing to move to a better life stayed put

Some will, but some native-born Texans do that now. (Ann Richards anyone?). Kudos to Texas for dealing well with their RINO fation (New Jersey's Christine Todd Whitman, Kay Bailey Hutchison WON'T be missed).
Nonetheless, let's say that 80% of NYers want to work (or want their husbands to work). Of the 20% who don't, they will vote 90% Dem/Lib/Working Families or whatever. Ten Percent will vote Republican/Conservative/Right to Life. Of those who move for work a small majority would vote Republican, especially when you talk about Rochester, Buffalo and anything outside of NYC, Albany and Ithaca. Some of them will be RINOs. Some of them will find themselves listing conservative as they get to know Texans and Texas ways. This is a good thing. Their children will also find themselves with more conservative friends. This is also a good thing.
I believe that Texas ain't Charlotte. Please prove me right.

In NY (and especially in NYC) the very definition of a New Yorker has changed dramatically over the last few decades; just as in NJ, a large part of the population is not even American.
When De Blasio’s opponent tried to paint a picture of NYC returning to the horrible days of David Dinkins in the early 90s, it failed because almost half of NYC residents hadn’t even been living there 20 years ago. Americans are fleeing these areas, and the Republocrats are replacing them with immigrants (legal or otherwise) just to prop up housing and keep schools filled.

I was born & raised here- & I love Texas with all my heart, but things are not so good here as far as employment goes. Except for a few professions, our pay scale is pitiful & going backwards.
As an example, even 5 years ago, a property/ casualty adjuster made $55,000 to start. In 2013, we discovered that the average is now $35,000- 11% below the national average. No wonder everybody got “laid off”. They were replaced for much less. It’s not that those who made “that kind of money” won’t settle for it (of *course* they will), they can’t even get an interview.
That’s not “growth”.
Leading the way to what? Bankruptcy?
