The Ron Paul people who seized control of the Iowa Republican party in 2012 were all voted off the state central committee today in favor of conservative activists.

Their unceasing hostility to anyone not a Paul backer is what did them in.

Some (far from all or most) of the Paul backers have acted like Lyndon LaRouche supporters act.

Excellent. These paulbots act like cultists. Squashing their little insurgency and replacing them with responsible movement conservatives is definitely a step in right direction.

The backstory is that Romney had no grassroots-type organization. Romney’s was a top-down campaign. He didn’t have boots on the ground to tell him what was really going on and the Rove gang told Romney whatever he wanted to hear. That left the door open for Paultards.

I was surprised the got completely swept out but Branstad got his people there. I wouldn’t of minded one or two still on the committee in proportion to their actual representation of the party.

Saw you up front with your delegation, didn’t get a chance to talk, have to catch you some other time.

There is no place for limited government people in the Republican Party.
