Jesse Jackson Calls for Symbolic Protest From Clippers Players
TMZ ^ | APRIL 26, 2014 | TMZ

Posted on 04/26/2014 6:58:29 PM PDT by rickmichaels

Reverend Jesse Jackson is calling for Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and the rest of the Clippers to employ some kind of "symbolic expression" to protest the statements made by team owner Donald Sterling.

We just spoke with Jackson ... who tells us he's outraged by Sterling's racist comments -- and says it puts the players in an awkward situation, due to the fact they have a playoff game tomorrow.

Jackson says the league "must respond and respond quickly" -- and says the players should do something during the game to "show a sign of indignation."

Jackson pointed to the Miami Heat players -- who wore hoodies to show their outrage after the shooting of Trayvon Martin ... and says the Clippers should do something similar.

Jackson must have money on the game or he would be demanding that they refuse to play.

So glad to see that Jesse Jackson took time off from banging Tamera Holder to weigh in on this topic..meanwhile, any reaction from Jackson over the anti Semitic things that his buddy Al Sharpton has said in the past, didnt think so

Gee I wonder, if Donald Sterling had gone on a GOP rant after his “Girlfriend” posted a picture of her with let’s say, Ted Cruz, I wonder if the reaction from the media and the NBA would have been the same, my spidey senses tell me that he probably would have been applauded for them..since its already been proven that Sterling is a lifelong Dem who has given 100 percent of the time to Dem candidates

JJ will hush after he or a member of his family is given shares in the team ownership.

Jesse pretends to be outraged but still hopes that Sterling continues to give money to the Dems

Go a step further. Don’t watch any of this black league. That has been my solution for a couple of decades. Next, if all would do as I have since the late nineties do not go to a movie theater. Hit them in their pocket books.

Already with you on both counts; in the same manner as libs like to define “white people problems”, I’ll chalk this up to “black people problems” with no significance at all for the larger population. I was happy to see NJ lose its NBA team to Brooklyn; good riddance.
