I learned a long time ago that press personnel can be issue baiters for whatever cause they choose. There is no honor when matters come to making a story. A person has to be very, very careful when dealing with modern day press personnel and Mr. Bundy has just been given a lesson in a time frame past his generation. I say this from being older than Mr. Bundy and having experience in dealing with the press.

He spoke the truth. The democrat party has made welfare slaves of a huge fraction of the black population in America. They're bought and paid for ... with OUR tax money ... and they do their masters' bidding.
Try to follow - it isn’t a matter of truth or false. One can speak the truth and still make a mistake, as Bundy did here.
It doesn’t matter that he was right - and I’ve said I think he is right in what he said - what matters is in saying it, he hamstrung his case, and for no good purpose. There was no chance that saying what he said would help his cause - all it could do is hurt it, and it has.
This was predictable, so it was an error to make a statement, even a true statement, that was harmful to his case with no chance of helping it.
He should have stayed focused on his cause, it was all going his way - now, not so much.
We know better.
What about the millions of “negroes” that ow their own businesses and the even more numerous poor whites on welfare? Why in the world would he pick out some blacks?

I don’t take my cues from anybody - I heard about it, then listened to Bundy say what he had to say, did not listen to anybody else before forming my opinion that he made a grave strategic error. I don’t care what he was talking about, I don’t care if it was PC or not, all I care about is that it derailed Bundy’s cause, and his cause was on the way to doing serious damage to the BLM, the feds and Harry and the kid.
I suppose, in your pursuit of speaking the truth, if you were introduced to your pastor’s (or boss’s, or important customer’s) heavyset wife you would feel obliged to spout, “Gee, you’re fat!” wouldn’t you? Well, it would be true, so you would be right! And instead of walking on eggshells you will speak the truth...and be set free! Right? No, it would be a strategic mistake - just like Bundy’s statement was.
The only thing that should matter for Bundy is if he helps his cause. He didn’t, he hurt it. And the damage was predictable. So you tell me, is doing something that predictably hurts your legitimate interests a smart thing, a good thing, the right thing?
I’m hurting his cause? Hardly!! I only dream my words have so much impact - but if I could speak to Cliven, I would say the same thing to try and help him regain his focus. I’m speaking here in what I fear is a futile attempt to get the discussion back on track - but idiots like you want to keep it off topic in order to prove what? Very eloquent and I agree with you. Shame Bundy didn’t have someone there to warn him about what the media would try to do to help the Reid cause.
I still don’t know what was asked Bundy in order to get his opinion on race. Had nothing at all to do with his cause.
