There’s no good reason these high deductible policies should cost as much as they do.
A few years ago I could shop for health insurance and have a hundred policies to choose from at various levels of coverage. Now, maybe 15 or so to choose from and none of them very affordable.
Well actually there is a good reason. They cost so much because you have to pay for the ones who get enough subsides that their policy costs $1-100 per month plus all the new Medicaid enrollees.
