NEW IRS BOMBSHELL: 'MOST AUDACIOUS POWER PLAY YET'

Agency clobbers fierce critic of Obama, Clintons

Garth Kant

WASHINGTON — It was the nearly silent bombshell of the IRS scandal, but it may have been one of the most significant.

...

When the IRS stripped the Patrick Henry Center for Individual Liberty, or PHC, of its tax-exempt status, it ... may have been the most audacious power play yet by the left in its use of the department to wage war on conservatives.

Additionally, the PHC is unique among the IRS’ recent known victims:

...

Unlike the tea-party groups, the PHC did not spring up after the 2008 election of President Obama, but has been around since the 1990s. It was approved in January 1998 as a 501(c)(3). Based in Manassas, Va., the center was founded by former FBI agent and best-selling author, Gary Aldrich, a ferocious critic of Obama and the Clintons.

...

As for Aldrich, when news of his targeting broke it didn’t cause the kind of sensational headlines as when America learned the IRS had been demanding tea-party groups report what prayers they had been saying and which books they had been reading.

But this latest development may indicate, somewhere along the way, a turning point had been reached, one in which the IRS went from defense to offense, and instead of just stalling applications, went on the attack.

...

Even more ominously, the order to have the IRS dig up information to prosecute conservatives was given to the Justice Department’s director of the Election Crimes Branch of the Public Integrity Section by “someone” higher up in the chain of command.

That means the orders either came from someone in a position of top authority at the Justice Department, or, someone at the White House...

The republicans do not represent us either. We do not have a 2 party system anymore. We need an American Spring....badly.

and TPTB ripping the pub party apart intentionally....divide and conquer...

A strong Republican party is going to be RINO, a weak one is conservative and can be the basis for a real opposition. Big money always backs RINOs.

“I think people who still have faith in the Republicans are simply DUPES.”

You are correct. We don’t even have a team on the field!

Been watching the pendulum swing back and forth all my life; listening to the predictions of doom & gloom; yet life always seems to continue. Flat tax, end Congressional spending, ha; nice dreams but Rush was right, forget about it; ain't happening.

Things have to get so bad economically that even the dems will want another Reagen; then it will occur. Powers that be have to kill a bunch American citizens with their civilian military to wake the people up; then they will get tossed out and things will change. I just wish Big Ears would order all guns be turned in, he'd see how powerless he really is and then the people might wake up.

Life is still better here than anywhere else where you either are taxed beyond belief or have to worry about secret police killing your neighbor at night or have lepers walking the streets. Take a look around.

Patrick Henry Center makes a tape about Henry’s speech to Virginias house back before the Revolution. His way with words shook the entire crowd up, even the nay sayers worried about their financial future were swayed to support him. Started the ball rolling. It’s excellent. They do an reproduction of that event every month at the Church. Also have a tape of the play available from PHC and shown from time to time on PBS, no joke.

It's time for state militias to surround IRS buildings, chain lock the fences and let the sorry bastards inside starve to death.

His 1765 noob Stamp Act protests to the House of Burgesses?

He provided the spark of revolution.

My political daydream is for Mike Lee or Ted Cruz to make a similar speech to Obama’s rubber stamp senate. They make the case for repeal of the 17th Amendment.

I believe many if not most of the Republicans in congress are perfectly happy for the IRS to ruthlessly suppress Tea Party and conservative organizations.

Really?! What was your first clue?! Of course they are! As long as Boehner and company keep their power they could give two shits about the American people.

The representatives were disbanded by Virginia Governor and so they had their meeting 150 miles inland, they didn't want to get caught & hung. Many of them thought Henry was a nut case of sorts, said he was talking treason and such. Henry shamed and cajoled them enough they had to support him. One person's accomplishment in front of his peers, good stuff for sure. The tape is worth the 20 bucks, heck if I didn't live along the Yukon, I'd see the re-enactment myself at the church where the meeting was held.

It was so inspiring to those there, they corresponded over the following year about the event and it's impact. They knew even back then, it was a turning point and all the letters have contributed to the historical record. Good stuff. Even my local Indian Friends watched it. Funny thing is that the Indians stand up to the Feds more than any Whites do nowadays; they consider the Feds intrusions an affront to their culture, rights, and world view. The Feds somewhat let them alone too, rather than stir them all up, ha.
