GOP Leadership Plotting to Pass Amnesty in August, May Put AZ, TX in Play for Dems
Breitbart's Big Government ^ | April 27, 2014 | Tony Lee

Posted on 04/27/2014 8:04:10 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA), the House GOP Conference Chair, said that amnesty legislation could come to the floor by August.

Her comments come after multiple House Republicans have ramped up support for amnesty legislation and discussed bills they plan to introduce in the coming months.

“I believe there is a path that we get a bill on the floor by August,” McMorris Rodgers said, according to the Spokesman-Review. “We’re going to have to push that this is a legal status, not amnesty,” she said.

According to NBC 5, Rep. Joe Barton (R-TX) "will soon introduce a bill that will establish a path to citizenship for the minor children of illegal immigrants and a guest worker program."

"If the only illegal act they committed was coming into the country without proper documentation we'd put them on a path to legalization," Barton said.

Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL) said the Republican leadership is "as close as we have ever been" and, though "it is still a big, big, heavy lift... I think we’re going to get there.”(continued)

I do not know. But I do know that my enthusiasm for even the couple we have been able to rely on thusfar wanes by the day.

% at most cannot change it from within. It is a fools erand. They need to leave and LEAD, not stay and be minimized by the rest.

People that continue, in light of the last few years, to elect more RINOs deserve the scorn they get. They liberalized the party by accepting liberal Republicans. fortunately many more by the day realize they were wrong and took responsibility by speaking against continuing to do it.

We are not the majority of the supposedly conservative wing. Here on FR and elsewhere. Ignore us and lose.

We don’t need a Third Party.

We need a SECOND PARTY!

Indeed! Right now we have Democrats and folks who call themselves conservatives but who will do their best to pass democrat legislation. I supposedly have two Republican Senators...John McCain and Jeff McFlake! I’m not sure how that differs from having two democrat senators.

Yup. the whining by the excuse brigade did not then and will not today explain how having an R behind ones names absolves them from identical democrat actions.

If we want liberals, lets vote for liberals. Why hide what we really want? Lets cut the crap and vote for open Democrats. Gays came out. The liberal Republicans in conservatism should too.

but if they did that they wouldn’t be here to disrupt us and keep us from coalescing behind a conservative that COULD beat them like a rented ‘donkey’ (that they are)

It appears that the GOP is conspiring with the Mexicans to turn the southwest over to Mexico. I see another Alamo in my future.

Pass amnesty and in three to five years pass it again for the newest illegal immigrants, repeat as often as necessary, and soon enough kiss our freedoms goodbye permanently. The majority of the world’s people do not believe that common men can govern themselves, or that human rights come from God. But, they do believe that government exists to pass out the material necessities of life for free.

True, but what choice do we have? It is between evil and more evil. At some point this has to stop and every new person elected hopefully will buck the trend—at least this is what we are supposed to believe, TEA party or not. We really need a second American Revolution. The governmwnt is running on cruise control, no one wants to change anything. Who will fire the first shot???????

Honestly? If we keep voting for our own demise like this, there is proof that we cannot govern ourselves and prefer living on our knees (not ‘us’ but the majority).

We SHOULD ALL be able to do just fine. We have a roadmap given to us 200+ years ago showing the way. But over half the country proved it cant or doesn’t want to govern itself in the last 2 elections and another chunk is ready to prove it again. This time with the Uniparty.

Serious question. If I say to you “Shoot your child or hang her”, do you do that or ignore me and save her?

you have a choice. Have the courage to make the choice to NOT vote for evil.

I think it is time to move to create a third party.

Now.

If we succeed in this effort, we can attempt to influence the larger Republican Party, to throw out these people who want to act exactly like Democrats.

If that does not succeed, we can oppose the GOP.

It is time.

Which is why a few of us pushed for it a while back and took massive flack for it. But people had to feel enough pain.

Now they have. Lets hope it isn’t too late.

I stress however, my first point.

We should initially work to change the GOP.

However there is a very strong segment of the GOP which is now completely the opposite, of what it should be.

If they don’t change, then we will.

But we need to start on this.

They win if people get fed up and stop voting. Vote for the best conservative. Vote to destroy the RINO. If you lose, at least you tried. That’s better than giving up. Sometimes I honestly think the RINOs want us to get frustrated and walk away so that they can win the primaries. Don’t like the crap we face in November, i.e. Democrat versus Democrat-lite, then vote like your life depends on it!

I’ll go so far to say that it’s better to lose a couple seats in the House by voting against incumbent RINOs. If that is the only way to get rid of the likes of Boehner, so be it. However, you can’t do that if you waste your votes or don’t vote at all! In fact, the BEST time to vote is during primary elections when turn out is generally much lighter. That is the first, big shot at getting rid of RINOs.

If it comes down to the general election, the RINO has won the primary, and the RINO is doing grave damage to our causes, do whatever is necessary to defeat him. If that means a weak Democrat gets elected for one term to the House, it might be worth it, but you have to vote.

If he thinks anything will put Texas in play for the Dems this year, he hasn’t been to Texas and hasn’t talked to Texans.

Meanwhile, let’s concentrate on doing a little more housecleaning in the runoff - voting starts May 19. Time to retire Dewhurst.
