Cock-fighting is an old tradition in many parts of the country, and in many countries around the world.

So, while I don’t care for it, you have to decide if you believe in freedom or not.

I’ve been to two in my life, one in Oklahoma where the bouts were to the finish, and one in Puerto Rico (in an air-conditioned stadium where the fights were stopped as soon as one chicken was dominant)... not my cup of tea. But no reason to treat it like a major crime.

Bull-fights? Same thing. Not my cup of tea. But I eat beef.

Funny, I don’t feel the same way about dog-fighting, I think it should definitely be illegal. Not sure I can explain the difference but it strikes me as different. We don’t eat dogs and we don’t keep cows and chickens as pets. Maybe that’s it.

Im not a fan of cockfight because of what it says about the human participants' bloodlust. Regarding the rooster, it's a little smarter than a cockroach, but not much, they naturally fight and they require no sympathy. I have to admit I laughed at the demise of Little Jerry Seinfeld
