Obamacare Advocates Try Lewinsky Tactic
American Spectator ^ | 4/28/2014 | David Catron

You can always tell when the Democrats and their media supporters are losing an important political argument — they suddenly announce that the public wants to “move on” to more pressing issues. It is a strategy they first devised in an attempt to prevent President Clinton from being impeached. Indeed, one of their most important front groups, MoveOn.org, was created for the explicit purpose of promoting this meme. The tactic failed, of course. Yet, in their panic concerning the upcoming midterms, congressional Democrats have resorted to it once again in a desperate effort to extricate themselves from the fatal Obamacare debate.

“The debate on Obamacare is over.”
“The debate on Obamacare is over.”
“The debate on Obamacare is over.”

If you are a Democrat running in 2014 repeat as needed.

And don’t forget, opposing the minimum wage and equal pay for women is racist!

Few things are more important than losing doctors when you are seriously ill or dying.

Fundamental miscalculation.

Obamacare Advocates Try Lewinsky Tactic?

Obama's been sprinting to the presidential podium lately---in a BIG hurry to change the narrative on Obamacare--a desperate attempt to prevent Dems' 2014 electoral bloodbath.

(Sniffle) gone are the blissful days when Dummies marched in lockstep w/ Obama. The grassroots disgust w/ Obamacare is putting a real crimp in Dims' campaign strategies. (sob)

THOSE WERE THE DAYS Dummycrats' once had fun kissing Obama's *** .....the kind of lock-stepping party loyalty not seen since 1940's era Europe.

As 2014 looms, things are decidedly different. Poor Dummies.

Kinda like Dr Strangelove vainly trying to control
his reflexive loyalty--to salute smartly to der leader.

JUST A FRIENDLY REMINDER TO 2014-2016 VOTERS As far back as 2008, at the presidential debate in Nashville, Democrat candidate Obama advanced his signature plan that was ultimately enacted (by an historic straight Democrat party-line vote) into the "Affordable Care Act:

QUOTING OBAMA: "No. 1, let me just repeat, if you’ve got a health care plan that you like, you can keep it. All I’m going to do is help you to lower the premiums on it. You’ll still have choice of doctor.”

Repeated over and over by every loyal Democrat---- conning Americans into believing they'd also be saving $2500.00 on healthcare costs.

LOCK-STEPPING DEMOCRAT PARTY LOYALTY NOT SEEN SINCE 1930-40's ERA EUROPE.

HHS “Started” Individual Obamacare Applications Prior To Deadline, Obtained Personal Info From States
Shark Tank / FR Posted on Friday, April 04, 2014 by M. Thatcher

In the closing days of the open enrollment period for the Affordable Care Act (ACA) , the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) was mailing out letters notifying certain Americans that they had already started a healthcare coverage application on their behalf.

The HHS letter stated that the information they used to begin the application for individual Healthcare was obtain by the state agency in charge of implementing Obamacare.

The next step for the individual would be visit Healthcare.gov and complete the already started application to see if they qualify for “Marketplace coverage.”

News of the HHS letter was first mentioned by a listener of the popular “Daybreak with Drew Steele” Show on Fox 92.5, which is out of Fort Myers, Florida.(Excerpt)

NEED TO KNOW:

(1) which states participated in giving confidential information to HHS, and,

(2) how would state agencies know which of their citizens would want or need a new Obamacare-compliant policy.......without violating that individual's privacy--and without consulting the individual?

(3) for an application to be legally enforced, the individual would have had to sign it.

(4) Who signed the app? Forgery must be considered.

(5) When a third party commits you to a financial transaction, that person is considered your fiduciary....and CANNOT act WRT a payment method or other financial burden that conflicts with your best interests.

I don't agree. They've invented a new tactic for this one. In the face of all contravening evidence, they are declaring Obamacare a raging success.

They are making up numbers whole cloth, championing any numbers that prove failure as incontrovertible evidence of success, and simply inventing a looking-glass world where everybody is thrilled with the victory of Obamacare and its architects.

They begun pretending that there's a public clamoring for Sibelius to seek elected office, for example. Soon, they'll invent news stories about other governments coming to the US to seek advice on building their own Obamacare systems. Right before the election, they'll talk about how the incoming congress will get to determine how to spend the "Obamacare surplus".

We are in an era where the media simply invents news or broadcasts the news handed to them by the party verbatim. It is like pre-war Germany, where the Nazi controlled media told tales of evil Jews and atrocities committed against German people in Poland or Czechoslovakia, as a pretext for invasion.

The difference is the Nazis had to fire or execute the existing journalists to put their people in place. For Obama and company, the media lackeys were already in position when they got here.

"This is why the President has twice this month been forced to pronounce the Obamacare debate over and assure the few remaining people who actually take his words seriously that “the American people don’t want us spending the next two-and-a-half years re-fighting the settled political battles of the last five years.”"

Instead, the American people want to spend the next two-and-a-half years re-fighting the settled political battles of the last thirty-three and a half years????

Zero makes zero sense. The big mistake Republicans make is listening to political advice from Democrat operatives. Obamacare is the Democrats' Katrina -- times hundreds!

Where does the GOP stand on the ACA. Seems like many establishment Republicans are quiet or making noises it can’t be repealed. Would a Republican Senate vote to kill the ACA?

Got the settled law business from a lib friend of mine. I said, “ you mean like DOMA and immigration law is settled law?”

It’s a treat watching them squirm.

“Would a Republican Senate vote to kill the ACA?”

I believe this is possible, but it would require a substantial conservative victory in the midterms. Even then the Republican establishment would have to be dragged kicking and screaming to this. The fact is that many of the GOPe’s corporate donors anticipate with glee being able to drop employee sponsored health insurance in a few years in favor of Obamacare. These are the same big donors who are clamoring for hoards of newly legalized immigrants to provide cheap labor.

If you wonder why establishment Republicans don’t give a crap what their base wants just follow the money.

Yep. The word has gone out. Talking points have been distributed.

I've seen a number of editorials / cartoons / article stating that "Republicans are beating a dead horse", "The issue is settled" and so on.

It's a simple debate tactic. When you're losing, state that you've won and walk away. Works on the simple-minded....of which there are far too many of in America.

The leftists aren’t telling us, “Look over there!!”, on 0CommieCare.

They’re saying “Look right HERE....at these numbers WE say are right! EVERYTHING is splendid - don’t listen to those racist, lying Republicans. Next question.”
